Manufacturing Sciences Corporation is a specialty metals manufacturer dealing with materials like tantalum, niobium, and uranium. MSC is uniquely situated in the commercial marketplace as we are the only commercial company with the ability to roll, cast, and machine depleted uranium. MSC is currently seeking a Manufacturing Floor Foreman to support the daily operations, rolling mill, and foundry. A successful candidate will have the ability to understand each function's daily activities and duties and provide guidance and direction as necessary. This position is not part of the collective bargaining agreement and is non-exempt.
Essential duties are:

Oversee manufacturing work on a daily basis, assigning tasks and workload to team members based on skillset

Able to work weekends or extra hours as required to meet production needs.

Review all manufacturing projects and ensuring all equipment and safety standards are applied.

Review and locate sites for materials and other operations necessary as part of the manufacturing, fabrication process.

Work with the operations manager to identify areas of improvement

Train and orient new employees on tasks and responsibilities

Provide input to the manager on employee performance.

Competencies are:

Read and review schematics/ diagrams or drawings
-
Attention to Detail
-
Familiar with and understands Radiation practices
-
Ability to make independent decision bases on knowledge of operations

Ability to interface with senior management and customers
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
5 years minimum experience in a metal fabrication environment

Ability to give directions and make independent decisions
-
Able to read blueprints and have a general understanding of fabrication processes

Ability to be flexible and make changes as needed to meet production demands
Preferred Experience:
-
Prior Experience in RAD Environment
-
Prior experience as a foreman is preferred
